Harris County Precinct 7 Constable deputies and HCSO SWAT got to the home on Princess Garden Way near W Orem Drive earlier Monday afternoon, where an armed man was barricaded inside with the baby boy.
Authorities say the safety of the infant and everyone involved was their priority as they tried to get the man to give himself up peacefully.
Around 8:45 p.m. Monday night the man gave up and deputies were able to safely get the baby out of the home. The man is now in custody. Officials said he had an active warrant for robbery and will now face more charges.
