Anne Arundel County police said they arrested a person in connection to a fatal hit-and-run in the crosswalk at Ritchie Highway and Magothy Bridge Road last Saturday.
According to a preliminary investigation, the driver of a black Land Rover, model L462 was traveling north on Ritchie Highway when it struck a 54-year-old who was crossing the road.
The driver then turned into a shopping center and continued north on the highway. Police said the vehicle may have damage to its right headlight and right front fender.
It also may be missing its front wheel trim and passenger mirror.
Police said the victim was taken to a local trauma center, where he died from his injuries.
