A man and a 16-year-old girl were shot while inside a home in Gresham on Friday evening, Chicago police said.
Shortly before 7 p.m., a man, 49, was involved in a verbal altercation with someone he knew and was shot multiple times inside a home in the 7900 block of South Hermitage Avenue, police said.
The wounded man was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, police said. A 16-year-old girl, also in the home, was struck by gunfire and taken to the same hospital in good condition.
A person of interest was questioned by police. Area detectives are investigating.
